Teaching Philosophy

I believe that dance education should be accessible, inclusive, and rooted in both physical practice and academic understanding. My goal as an educator is to cultivate well-rounded artists who not only move with technical precision but also think critically about the art form they practice.

In my teaching, I emphasize the importance of understanding dance as both a historical and contemporary practice. By studying the evolution of dance and engaging with its present landscape, students gain a deeper awareness of what it means to be an artist and a creator.

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, I have researched the fundamentals of technique development, explored creative choreographic processes, and gained firsthand experience within the dance industry. These experiences shape my approach to teaching—one that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for the art of movement.
